This was meant to be a big weekend for Darren Scott. The Enduro World Series comes to Innerleithen, only 12 miles from Galashiels, where he lives and runs his own joinery business when not competing on the masters mountain biking circuit.
Scott, a multiple masters champion in motocross, switched sports about five years ago and is now ranked fourth in the world in a category where his competitors are many years younger.
